El ritmo latino estará presente con Luis Miguel, Cardi B y J Balvin como candidatos en algunas categorías, en los premios que se celebrarán este domingo 10 de febrero.

Los Grammy 2019 están a punto de comenzar y tanto el estadounidense Kendrick Lamar como el canadiense Drake son los grandes favoritos con ocho y siete postulaciones, respectivamente. Mientras que el ritmo latino estará presente con Cardi B y J Balvin.

Lamar, como máximo responsable de la banda sonora de "Pantera Negra" (2018), y Drake, con su disco "Scorpion", se verán las caras por el gramófono dorado al Álbum del Año.

"I Like It", el exitoso tema de la rapera Cardi B junto al colombiano J Balvin y el puertorriqueño Bad Bunny, podría llevarse el Grammy a Grabación del Año. La cantante obtuvo cinco nominaciones (incluyendo la de Álbum del Año), solo una menos que la artista de folk Brandi Carlile, la mujer más nominada, con seis candidaturas.

ACENDENCIA LATINA

Camila Cabello, Demi Lovato y Luis Miguel son otros de los artistas con ascendencia hispana que impondrán la cuota latina en la ceremonia. El Sol de México encabeza los candidatos al Mejor Disco de Música Regional Mexicana con "¡México por siempre!".

El cine irrumpió con fuerza en los Grammy y se siente en la categoría a Canción del Año ─que a diferencia de la grabación premia la excelencia en la composición─ gracias a Childish Gambino, el alias musical del actor Donald Glover, y su fenómeno viral "This is America". Las nominaciones para Lady Gaga y Bradley Cooper por el tema "Shallow" de la cinta "A Star is Born" (2018); y el éxito de la banda sonora de "Pantera Negra" lo prueban.

Por otro lado, Chloe x Halle, Luke Combs, Greta Van Fleet, H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Bebe Rexha y Jorja Smith se disputarán el Grammy a Mejor Nuevo Artista, un apartado en el que seis de los ocho contendientes son mujeres.
